What is Alternate Timeline?

As a comedian and TV writer it’s difficult for me to engage in creativity without the resulting product being what the modern world calls “content.” Writing science fiction has always been a goal of mine, and this is my effort to dive further into that sphere. Here at Alternate Timeline I’ll be posting short stories that are inspired by current news and events but have a surreal or sci-fi aspect to them. I also have a weekly series called Sci-Fi Fuel, which is aimed toward giving readers some information to help activate their own imaginations!

Tim Barnes is a comedian and television writer whose absurdist humor brings light to social issues from unexpected angles. Tim has written for the Nickelodeon sitcom Warped!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Nickelodeon's All That revival, Comedy Central, the NPR quiz show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, and even documented his testicles once for Men's Health.
