Dear Timeline Travelers,
No, this isn’t a sequel to the 2003 Nancy Meyers romantic comedy (which somehow feels a bit like science fiction).
Instead, it’s a quick update on the state of Sci-Fi Fuel itself!
First—thank you all so much for entering the chaos realm of this newsletter and entertaining the many ideas, theories, jokes, and recommendations expressed in the Sci-Fi Fuel portion of the experience—which has slowed down in recent weeks.
I often think about
’s consistent refrain of “Where does Tim find the time!” while graciously sharing one of my posts. And as it turns out, a wave of time crunches is the culprit for the decline of Sci-Fi Fuel updates. is the most experimental thing that I do. And as I wake up to a brave new world of obligations, it’s become harder to compartmentalize and focus on this niche of the newsletter on a weekly basis while also focusing on the reason I started it: Writing short stories. So, this is partly an apology for breaking my weekly promise, but also a declaration that Sci-Fi Fuel updates are now a bi-monthly magazine of sorts. Starting at the end of February, they will come out every other month with all of the things you love—only packing more of a punch.
If you enjoy my work and are interested in truly frequent updates from me outside of the realm of science fiction, please subscribe to my main newsletter
, where I post daily jokes, text interviews, podcasts, comics and more. You can also subscribe to Yub Nub — the Star Wars podcast that I co-host with Jim Fagan and Greg Iwinski:
You’ve all been so kind with me as a novice prose writer, and I’m excited to release a new short story at the end of this month!
All the best,
- Tim
I remain convinced you're some kind of Time Lord, Tim... ;)
